Al Majaz Amphitheatre
Al Majaz Amphitheatre is a 4,500 seat capacity, an open-air theatre that hosts performing arts such as plays, concerts and community events.
The Amphitheatre was opened under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to commemorate the crowning of Sharjah as the Islamic Cultural Capital of the Arab world in 2014.
The Amphitheatre, located in the centre of Al Majaz Island, is supported with facilities such as the Conference Room; VIP Majlis, Showrooms; Helipad, Al Majaz Marina, Island Walk, and Funoon district. The Funoon District provides all year round air-conditioned al fresco dining spaces with a variety of restaurant & cafés.
Al Majaz Amphitheatre is an architectural monument that integrates with the aesthetics of Sharjah and is one of the many Sharjah Government Media Bureau initiatives.
