Panel Discussion

Details

From the Arctic to Antarctica to glaciers and ice caves worldwide, the planet is warming at an alarming rate. While the alarms and solutions were raised decades ago increasingly, we are seeing the results of our collective inaction and disbelief.

Last year Antarctica hit highs of 40c above normal while the Arctic averaged 30C over usual temperatures. Over three days, Greenland lost 18 million tons of water. Headlines referenced melting permafrost, collapsing glaciers and a heat dome that settled over parts of Europe, shattering records with unprecedented and brutal heat. When we think of the poles, we think of extremes of cold.
This is no longer the norm.

Join our distinguished panel of polar explorers, scientists, filmmakers and photographers as they share their experiences documenting the impact of climate change on multiple ecosystems, wildlife, research and the search for solutions. Filmmaker and photographer James Balog, scientist and photographer Carsten Egevang, World Press Photo awardee Esther Horvath and National Geographic Explorer Robbie Shone will take the stage at xPosure to share their insights on how we tackle climate change at the extremes.
