This Documentary Focus Group is spoken, open-ended, relatively broad, including qualitative Q&A. It will provide depth, nuance, and variety and answer individual questions. Focus groups allow attendees to get closer to understand thinking of the mentor while getting to know, what, when and how.
Don McCullin’s photographs of Vietnam and Cambodia that have become among the most famous and well recognised worldwide. He faced no restrictions, yet his work, in projecting the realities of war into millions of living rooms back home, contributed substantially to the growth of anti-war feeling.
McCullin will provide a unique opportunity to attendees of this focus group to openly discuss the Pros and Cons of War Photography and give advice to those photographers about the importance of documenting with honesty while maintaining respect for the subjects.
