تفتقر التربة اليوم إلى المواد المغذية بعد تعرض غابات سونغاي توهور للقطع غير القانوني عام 2009 من قبل شركة لإنتاج الورق. وتعيش القرية اليوم على نشا النخيل (الساغو) المستخلص من شجر نخيل تابيوكا. جزيرة سونغاي توهور، إندونيسيا
