Bjoern Lauen

Born 1980, in Germany, photography has been a substantial part of Bjoern’s life for the the past 20 years. His love for writing with light started with a camera his father gave him during his early teens.

After taking photos of family and friends, he interned at local newspapers and worked at a photo studio, learning the ropes of film photography and development before moving to digital photography. Bjoern is a Sony Alpha Ambassador and his work has been published in national and international media such as National Geographic Kids, The Guardian, Time Magazine, Wall Street Journal and others.

He completed a business diploma and started studying psychology. After a successful career, co-founding the successful international franchise concept LOOXIS and board member and advisor of UAE based companies, Bjoern focused full time on turning his passion photography into a successful business. He would spend his free time traveling the world on expeditions or participating in charitable projects to provide photography for the cause.

His published work about the tribes of Omo Valley in Ethiopia, amongst others, has been exhibited at the Annenberg Space for Photography in Hollywood / Los Angeles. His work has been published in national and international media such as National Geographic Kids, The Guardian, Time Magazine, Wall Street Journal and others. His photography is part of various books – such as the successful 911LOVE Porsche book.
