Street photography is very rewarding but at the same time, one of the most challenging genres to master. This workshop by Vineet Vohra will help ease the anxiety next time you hit the streets, it will help you solve the puzzle of composing compelling images in split seconds and most importantly it would help you to see.
The workshop places an emphasises on how to use intuitive knowledge under various given situations.
The first day will commence with a gathering and introduction with an outline of the itinerary. Days two and three will include practical shooting and a theoretical session. You will learn all you need to know about street photography including a video documentary of how his images are made as they shoot and how they fine tune their vision and more. Vineet will also talk about the art of story telling. How to write stories and photo-essay, followed by a lecture on the importance of shooting personal projects and how it benefits in a long run.
Participants will walk with Vineet on the streets who will also shoot along with you and the group and you will have a chance to turn your freshly acquired theoretical knowledge into practice, with a theme in hand to create and execute through the walk.
Vineet will always accompany students while shooting, observe them at work and give instant feedback and suggestions when required. Students will also have a chance to observe him at work, learn tricks and techniques. Students will not only hunt for decisive moments like Henri Cartier-Bresson but also get close to people and photograph them.
Vineet will help the participants share and select their top images for review and critiques.
