Vineet Vohra

Vineet Vohra is a Leica Ambassador born on 2nd November 1973 in New Delhi/India, with a first-class degree in fine arts from the prestigious College of Arts. He is a self-taught photographer, and street photography is a passion that he lives like a discipline.

Vohra began his professional career as a wildlife photographer for two years before turning his lens to the street in 2001. It instantly became his passion natural for him.   For Vineet, street photography is a journey, and he travels every day, learning every day for which he strives to improve every day.

In general daily life, where the unexpected occurs, Vohra endeavours to be honest through his lens by harmonising between human elements and the environment focusing is how to make ordinary moments look extraordinary.

Vohra believes everyone should get involved with photography because it gives back more than one can ever imagine.

In 2011, Vineet co-founded APF(artphotofeature.com) APF was born from an education imperative; it’s an evolving magazine where new talent is recognised to provide a platform for emerging photographers, artists and designers to showcase their works, works that are not necessarily commercial, to create opportunities and open new doors.

The subjects explored in the magazine are broad in terms of concepts, styles and techniques.
Vineet holds a master’s degree in fine arts from the prestigious college of arts, Delhi and is now considered among the top twenty street photographers in the world.

As a self-taught photographer, street photography is a passion that he lives like a discipline.
Vohra is a Leica Ambassador, the first ever Indian in the history of Leica, and conducts workshops as a Leica Mentor in Leica Akademie, along with various publications on the Leica blog. Before Leica, he was an official Fuji X photographer, a member of the APF collective & the street collective and the author of the successful book “the serendipity.”

Vineet conducts workshops globally, including the Miami street photography festival,  Italian street photography festival, San Francisco street photography festival, London street photography festival, and Xposure photography festival in Sharjah, UAE, along with SIPA and the India photo festival.  He is also recognised as a judge for all these festivals.

Vohra has been awarded twice in a row at the Xposure photo festival by His Highness Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Qasimi for excellence.

Vineet is a seasoned speaker giving lectures and has conducted workshops in leading colleges in India for the past 12 years. His works and stories have been published in various prestigious magazines, newspapers & blogs all over the world, including National Geographic, NYT, and The Guardian U.K., and he has been a part of various collective exhibitions in London, New York, Miami, Vietnam, Tel Aviv & India.
